How We got STarted

Our story starts in a driveway off a quiet Strongsville street. Mike Linard was ten, playing on a hoop put up by his dad, a construction project manager and estimator. Already Mike is sweeping gravel off the driveway like a facility manager at Richfield Coliseum. The inspiration? That very arena.

Walking out of the concourse and laying his eyes on the brightly lit basketball court at his first Cavaliers game? Pure magic.

From then on, every crack, every puddle, every frayed net bugged him until it looked professional. He adopted the court in the parking lot of the neighborhood swimming pool. Friends showed up for rough games of one-one-one and even rougher games of 33. He kept the court spotless so no puddles remained, nobody tripped, nobody quit. A great day of basketball with friends didn't end until someone could reenact last second heroics: "Four seconds left, across the timeline, he heaves it - For the win!

IT'S GOOD!!!"

Fast-forward: adult Mike spots one backyard court photo online, heart races, calls the number on the website. Next thing, he’s learning the ins-and-outs of court construction. Then running Northeast Ohio installs, mixing hard-hat know-how with that kid-like itch to make courts perfect. No shortcuts, just the clean bounce, beautiful, pro looking and performing courts. That’s FTW—built from driveway dreams into every rim we hang today.

For the Win Today

We build courts and gyms that people never want to leave. Since 2004 our ownership team has turned regular Ohio lawns into stunning pickleball courts, basketball battlegrounds, multi-sport playgrounds, and private gyms that actually get used. Over 800 installs later, we’re still the same local, family-centered crew that shows up on time, over-delivers, and treats every project like it’s our own backyard.

What keeps us going?

Our team has a lifetime of sports participation and experience. Most of our kids play or have played "all' the sports. And we understand the value of sports and the rewards it brings and the lessons it teaches:

Sportsmanship, Discipline, Dealing with Losing, Handling Winning, Perserverance and of course, Teamwork.

Our passion (now that our playing days are over) is building for kids who grow up too fast, parents who want to stay active, and grandparents who can still play H-O-R-S-E
